Colorectal cancer (CRC)

Colorectal cancer develops in the colon or the rectum, also known as the large intestine the small and large intestine is sometimes called the small and large bowel. Colorectal cancer usually develops slowly, over a period of 10 to 20 years. Most begin as a noncancerous growth called a polyp that develops on the inner lining of the colon or rectum.Colorectal cancers are due to old age and lifestyle factors. Symptoms usually only appear after cancer has grown or spread.
